Whatcha talking about that we might be doing tournament games in this stream???

This stream is about the back to back home games with Dayton and Duke! Reigning Freshman of the Year Matt Boswell is coming to Macomb! The damn DUKE BLUE DEVILS are coming to Macomb! A blue blood. A Tobacco Road team. In Macomb. These games must be played out on Wednesday night! 😁

I could be convinced to do this.

Just remember how epic the home court was the one time we've streamed a game there! And we've got one game with emotional attachment given it's Matt freakin' Boswell followed immediately by one of the most love to hate teams in college basketball over the last 30 years. I mean, no one liked Laettner. Hurley. Parks. Reddick. Trip, I mean Allen. Ok, everyone liked Grant Hill, he came back his senior year and almost won a 3rd title. But everyone else, we all hate! 🤣

The tourny is the time for great point guards to shine. Keita gave a good effort, but he was just in over his head under the brightest spotlight. This edition of the 'Necks was a great squad full of talent, but it's really hard to hide your PG the closer you get to the Final Four -- especially against the press. To me, the big question will always be "What if Brandon Price did not move from PG to SG at the start of the season?" Still, Season 18 was a memorable one and nothing to hang your head about. Go 'Necks!

Price went up two points at SG and I had no one else to play that position, so it felt like the right move. I guess I could have moved Keita to SG, but he was 6'2 and Price is 6'5. Perhaps I will think about making sure my best guard is at PG for sim games in the future.

Your logic on the position switch was completely defensible. But I do think a great point guard is critical in college hoops. Still -- no shame in losing to UConn. There probably wasn't anything that would change the result.

An interesting side story of the rise of the 'Necks is the rise of the Atlantic 10, with Dayton and George Washington turning into perennial powerhouse tourney teams. Does the program just have an egalitarian instinct for mid-major basketball??
